Katie advises clients on responding to multi-agency government investigations and enforcement actions. She assists clients in navigating the response to major accidents, such as industrial fires, chemical releases and explosions, and pipeline releases. Her experience includes representing both corporations and individuals in criminal enforcement actions under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act), Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships (APPS), and Title 18. She develops legal strategies for responding to these investigations and provides advice on developing and improving compliance programs in both environmental and worker safety, as well as general ethics and compliance. She also assists clients in addressing suspension and debarment risks associated with enforcement actions.
With deep experience in technical matters, she advises clients in manufacturing, energy, transportation, and critical infrastructure.
She graduated with a JD from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2015 and has a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
